'Holy flowers floating in the air, were all these tired faces in the dawn of Jazz America.'

On the Road
This month marks the 50th anniversary of the publication of Jack Kerouac's On the Road.
In high school I checked out the 25th anniversary edition of the novel from the public library in 1982 and was hooked.
Kerouac originally typed it on a roll of teletype paper — which is now owned by Indianapolis Colts' owner Jim Irsay — and the scroll is currently on tour.
