Mel Torme performs Neal Hefti's "Little Darlin'" with Count Basie as "Don't Dream of Anybody But Me" on The Judy Garland Show.
Composer Neal Hefti — best known for his themes for the Batman TV show and The Odd Couple — died October 11. He also did great scores for '60s films like Sex and the Single Girl, Boeing Boeing and Lord Love a Duck. Along with his film and TV work he played trumpet with Woody Herman and arranged music for Count Basie.
