Off To Market: Market Basket {Southern California}

When I was a child, I loved going to the grocery store with my mother as she did the shopping for the family every week. I loved seeing all of the products in their explosively colored packaging. Watching television didn't help me from wanting and asking and eventually begging for every fantastic thing my eyes landed upon. Without fail my mother would peer down at me and sternly say,"No. Don't ask again!" Nowadays, it is going to market that I dread most. Yes, really.

Market Basket is a good-ish childhood memory. We shopped at this chain often as there was one in my childhood neighborhood (which in the early 80s became a Boys Market). The images above I found here.
