Rude or Not Rude?

The "wife" is speaking on the telephone during what looks like hot coffee-wake up time.
Is this rude or is this action not rude?
Cellphones and their regular users, I find annoying.
Yes, many of our friends…many of my associates use them, text or talk on them in my presense, during what is supposed to be our social time.
That behavior is flat out rude.
Enjoy your time with one another - cellphone users.
You guys are in greater numbers than those of us who are still in the rotary dial zone and have an answering machine (because we want these tools and are also trying to live within our means.)
